views of the rolling hills...

...from your tree top balcony.

Majority of our time spent at the cottage was relaxing on the balcony enjoying the amazing views and watching the storms roll in.

There are two cottages on the 53 acre property. They're close to each other but far enough to give each group plenty of privacy.

We spent three nights at Timber Top Cottages. It was a crazy weekend of rain, thunderstorms, foggy mornings, clear sunny and the epic Aurora Australis light show! Our little home away from home had everything we needed and we were all so snug and cosy in the cottage every night.

Balingup Timber Top Cottages:

🌲 2 cottages on a leafy property just a short drive from town

🛌🏻 Two bedrooms sleeps 6 people

🔥 Indoor and outdoor fire for winter

🎯 An outdoor area with a bunch of games and activities

🍳 The cutest welcome bundle with fresh eggs, butter, milk, cookies and coffee

🐄 Feeding the cutest baby cows!! And chickens too

The owner is so so lovely and welcoming. Julie-Anne lives in the main farm residence near the cottages and is close by should you need anything at all.

There aren't many dog friendly accommodation options in Balingup so I'd suggest booking these cottages early if you're coming to stay!

Golden Valley Tree Park Less than 15 minutes drive, this is an absolute must visit spot in Balingup. The park is stunning any time of year. There are multiple trails to choose from and the park is dog friendly. If you're going in winter or rainy season I suggest wearing appropriate footwear, it can be muddy, slippery and there are free roaming roos and sheep in the park! The park is maintained by volunteers too so please consider leaving a donation.

Mr Fosters Cafe In the centre of town. Delicious coffee and food, we went for breakfast after being at the park. There's also a few cute shops in the shed to browse while you're there too.

The Mushroom at 61 Cafe In the centre of town and directly opposite Mr Fosters. They also serve delicious coffee and food. You really go there for their award winning pies though! We both had the peppered steak pie and some sweat treats. I don't think you can really go wrong with anything here though.

All the antique and thrift stores For such a small town there sure are plenty to choose from!

The Cidery & Blackwood Valley Brewing Co Bridgetown is only 20 minutes away and definitely worth the drive for lunch and some bevs. It's dog friendly too
